2018 CRAWFORD COUNTY SPEEDWAY Front Wheel Drive Rules

The following Rules for the Front Wheel Drive Division for the 2018 Calendar year. Crawford County Speedway Racing Officials may make at interpretation or Amendment to these rules anytime.

The Rules & Regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events only, and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for successful events. No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from

Publications of, or compliance with these rules, and /or regulations. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport, and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to participants.

Race Receivers Mandatory for all Drivers in 2018

BODIES: Any Factory OEM Front Wheel Drive production car - 4 cylinder Motors - V/6 - V/8 Motors, No Convertible’s - All Motors OK’ Stock O.E.M. Only. N0 Computer Chips.

Front Wheel Drive Cars must be a complete body and frames as OEM - Street legal for highway driving Complete car must be complete Bumper to Bumper as OEM. Factory Produced.

FRONT & REAR BUMPERS – Must fit under original Bumper Covers. No Bumpers extended out other than O.E.M.

All doors must be welded or bolted shut - All Glass and chrome - Upholstery and plastics must be removed nothing left in body that could cause a fire hazard.

Racing Seats & Belts – Five (5) Point safety Belts - Mandatory - HELMET - Snell 90 or SA 95 rating or better. NO Side Nerf Bars. NONE!!!

Neck Brace -WindowNet. & Fire Suits. Must have one to race. All Front Wheel Drive cars must have window nets & all drivers must wear a neck brace & Fire Suits. They are mandatory.

BUMPERS- Front & Rear may be braced - STEERING Quick Release Steering Wheel - OK.

CAR CLAIM: Anyone that wins (5) Five “A” feature races at anytime during the 2018 racing

season can be claimed for $1500.00 Cash. Money only by anyone at track. Grandstands or Pit area. Car has to be sold, as is complete car. Nothing taken off or taken out of car. Failure to accept claim will forfeit all points & money for the night. Car cannot be raced at CCS during the remainder of the 2018 race season unless a fine of $300 paid to the drivers point fund. In case of multiple claims. Claimants must draw for the winning bid.

Fire Extinguishers: All Cars must have a Fire Extinguisher mounted inside of car - Dry type only. All cars must have an aluminum racing seat and be fastened to roll cage - Not bolted to floorboard.

Roll Cage: Must have a (4) point cage with an X brace behind driver. Must have drivers side bar or bars around driver - Left & Right Sides - All Bars must be welded to complete Roll Cage - Must have 3 protect bars or screen in front of driver. Must have outside doorplate, same as Modified rule, Build it Safe.

Fuel: Gasoline Only - Must have OFF & ON Switch for electric fuel Pump In easy reach of driver. No Motor Claim - No Weight Rule - No Weight Limit.

WHEELS & TIRES: Must have 4 Wheels and tires.

CAR NUMBER: Car Number must be clearly marked – 24” height & 3” stripe width. No Duck tapeletters. Must be different color than that of the racecar. Car Numbers must be clean and visible from a distance. If the scorers can’t read it from the tower you will not be scored for that night.

A FRONT WHEEL DRIVER CANNOT RACE IN ANY OTHER CLASS EXCEPT FWD Only - NO MODIFIED OR Pure STOCK OR MINI STOCK DRIVER CAN DRIVE IN THE FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CLASS.

Special Races Excluded – They are open to all Drivers of any Class to race in. All drivers must race 20 nights or have 500 points for Point Fund and Awards and also must be present at the Awards Banquet.
