2017 RUN/WALK FOR LITERACY SPONSORSHIP FORM

Thank you for your interest in sponsoring the Friends of the Bluffton Public Library’s 5K Run/Walk for Literacy. Your generous contribution is tax deductible: tax id#90-0891076. All net proceeds will benefit the Bluffton Public Library’s programs.

Why does the Library need your help? The Bluffton Public Library offers services to over 6,000 patrons from Bluffton, Richland Township, Allen County and other surrounding areas. Some of the highlighted services:

➢Various enrichment programs, cultural events, and outreach services for children, teens and adults throughout the year (Jr. Brain Builders ages 0-3, Storytime ages 3-5, Children’s events, Teen Advisory Group, Area Book Discussions, Family events, and more).

➢An extensive collection of resources in addition to providing access to items through interlibrary loan and eMaterials through the Ohio Digital Library.

➢Public computers with Internet & Office products, Wi-Fi, printing, databases, technology assistance/training and much more.

➢Public libraries in Ohio continue to operate with a 24% reduction in state funding since 2008. According to the Ohio Library Council, libraries currently receive about the same amount of funding they received in 1996. As a result, the Friends are increasing fundraising efforts and providing more volunteer support for special activities and everyday library events.

Contributors, such as you, can help the Bluffton Public Library continue its many valuable services and programming which directly impacts your town, neighbors, and community.
