Completethisformtotrackyourservice-learninghours.CommunityServicereferstoeffortstohelpothersandtoimproveyourcommunity.Youcan beparticipatingonbehalfofacommunity,religious,and/oryouthorganization.Itcanbeanindividualeffortorwithagroupsuchasaschool-basedservicelearningproject.Thiscanincludeclubprojects,communityevents,fairactivities,and4-HCampservices.Examplesofcommunityserviceincludesingingatnursinghomes,gatheringsuppliesforthetroops,volunteeringatalocalhospital,purchasingitemsforthoseinneed,andanything thatbenefitsthecommunityforthosewhoarenotasfortunate.Thingsthatwouldnotcountarefundraisers,unlessalltheproceedsaregiventoanorganizationliketheAmericanCancerSocietyorthelocalhomelessshelterthathelpsothers,andneitheryounoryour4-Hclubarebenefitingfromtheservice.Asareminder,teachingyouthcitizenshipisoneofthecoregoalsofthe4-Hprogram,soeachclubshouldbedoingat leasttwocommunityserviceactivitiesannually.Hoursmustbecompletedduringthe2017calendaryear.
