2017 Orchestra Trip Itinerary

Disney Magic Music Days, Orlando, Florida March 29th-April 2nd

ITINERARY

Please read through this Itinerary and keep it with you at all times on the trip. Do not be “on time” for everything, BE EARLY FOR EVERYTHING. For this trip to be an effective and smooth operation, you must take this responsibility seriously.

TUESDAY MARCH 28TH - SUITCASE & INSTRUMENT MORNING IN THE ORCHESTRA ROOM

ALL SUITCASES MUST BE BROUGHT IN TO SCHOOL BEFORE SCHOOL AND NOT LATER THAN 9:00AM! BRING SUITCASES (UNLOCKED) AND INSTRUMENTS (LABELED) TO THE ORCHESTRA ROOM.

WEDNESDAY MARCH 29TH DEPARTURE DAY – Hotel Night

7:30AM REPORT TO SCHOOL AT YOUR NORMAL TIME.

11:20AM (Period 5) Report to the Orchestra room. Load school busses. 12:15pm: head to BNIA (BUF).

JetBlue 1885 flight leaves at 3:45PM and arrives at Orlando Airport (MCO) at 6:26pm

Arrival: Students grab luggage and board Disney Express shuttles. Travel to Disney. Check into the Disney’s All Star Music Resort. (407-939-6000). Get keys from chaperones, settle in, hang out at the hotel.

10:30pm Chaperone meeting at Piano Pool area.

11:15pm Room check. (You must be in your room)

11:30pm Lights Out. No noise. You’ve had a long day. Get some rest.

THURSDAY MARCH 30TH- MAGIC KINGDOM/EPCOT (AM), ANIMAL KINGDOM OR HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS (PM). *Hollywood Studios’ “Fantasmic” laser shows start at 8:30pm-you must arrive early for seating. (30-45 minutes early for good seats.)

7:15am Wake-up call. Breakfast at hotel food court.

9:00am Meet in the courtyard, find your room chaperone, and turn in your room keys. Go to Magic Kingdom or Epcot (Your choice).

2:00pm Go to Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. Return to the hotel following the fantastic show at Hollywood Studios that starts @ 8:30pm. You must be there at least 30-45 minutes early.

6:00pm All students must be at Hollywood Studios by 6:00PM!!!

10:15pm Check in at the Piano pool. You will receive your room key back at this time.

11:00pm Room check. (You must be in your room)

11:30pm Lights out.

FRIDAY MARCH 31ST - - VISIT MAGIC KINGDOM or EPCOT, ORCHESTRA CLINIC

8:00am Wake-up call. Breakfast at hotel food court. Get ready to go to Magic Kingdom or Epcot.

9:15am Meet in the courtyard, find your room chaperone, and turn in your room keys. Once assembled, travel via Disney transportation to either Magic Kingdom or Epcot!

3:15pm Leave the parks and head back to the hotel, where Mears bus will take us to clinic. Eat at hotel before clinic.

4:45pm Meet in front of hotel. Board Mears busses to clinic.

5:30pm Arrival and setup for Orchestral Clinic.

8:30pm Board Mears busses back to hotel.

10:30pm Check in at the Piano pool. You will receive your room key back at this time.

11:00pm Room check. Get some sleep! Lots of sun tomorrow, and it is the day of big parade!

SATURDAY APRIL 1ST - TYPHOON LAGOON WATER PARK MAGIC KINGDOM PARADE DAY

7:45am Wake-up call. **Bring anything needed for the day at Typhoon Lagoon to breakfast. You will NOT be going back to your room after breakfast. Breakfast at Hotel Restaurants.

9:30am Board Disney Busses at the Bus Stop with your swim gear and go directly to Typhoon Lagoon, Meet your room chaperone outside the Main Entrance, and turn in your room keys.

The park sells out, so don’t be late! Lunch at the water park.

(10:45am- Chaperone meeting at beach area near wave pool.)

2:45pm Check in with your chaperones just inside the MAIN ENTRANCE. When your group is all together, return to the hotel via Disney Transportation. All room members must be present to receive room keys.

4:30pm Take Disney shuttles to Magic Kingdom to watch the band in the parade.

6:30pm Parade begins!

7:15pm Parade is done.

10:00pm Head back to hotel after fireworks.

11:00pm Room check. (You must be in your room) Pack your bags and clean your rooms. Everything should be packed and “airport check-in ready”

11:30pm Lights Out. No noise.

SUNDAY APRIL 2ND, DEPARTURE DAY

90 mins prior to shuttle departure Wake-up call. Breakfast at the Hotel food court.

30 mins prior to shuttle departure ROOM CHECK OUT Check out of room with your chaperone. Have your bags in the hallway.

15 mins prior to shuttle departure BE AT THE BUSSES AND LOAD YOUR SUITCASE. ALL BAGS MUST BE BROUGHT TO THE PARKING LOT CURB WHERE WE LOAD THE BUSSES -NOT THE COURTYARD. CHAPERONES WILL BE THERE TO HELP YOU.

Shuttle Departure time TBD Depart for Orlando airport. JetBlue 1886 departs MCO at 12:27pm. Arrives at BUF at 3:02pm.PARENTS MAY NOT PICK THEIR STUDENTS UP AT THE AIRPORT.

~4:30-5:00pm Orchestra returns to Hamburg, bus with luggage and band will arrive likely between 5:30-6:00. Students must wait at the High School to unload truck before being picked up.
