The Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the 2017 Continuum of Care competition was announced by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on July 14, 2017. For complete information, please visit:

Our Annual Renewal Demand (ARD) is estimated to be$616,732.

The Brevard Homeless Coalition will be offering eligible agenciesthe opportunity to propose projects for funding. These may include applications for renewal of existing projects fromHousing for Homeless, Crosswinds Youth Services,and211 Brevard, as well as applications for new projects through reallocation or the Permanent Housing Bonus (estimated to be approximately $45,800).

Projects may vary in the type of housing assistance proposed as well as the sub-populations that may be targeted. For more information regarding the specific areas eligible for new projects, please refer to pages 10—13 in the above referenced Notification of Funding Availability.

Please note our greatest need presently is to increase affordable housing capacity. This priority, together with performance results and projections, will be considered in the ranking of project proposals.

Applications for all projects must meet federal funding guidelines, as well as adhere to the BHC Continuum of Care strategy, processes and procedures.
