(School specific scholarships are available only to someone who would be a new attendee of the specific schools chosen)

Essay question: For tuition and monetary awards. Think about all the careers available to you within the aviation industry. In a perfect world, what would your perfect internship look like? Where would it be? What would you hope to learn? Who would you like to work with? and Why?

You have full creative freedom to design your unique experience. Consider the many possibilities available to you. You may even combine parts of the industry together. (The entire essay can be up to 1000 words, but not over)

Aviation Career Ideas: (Pilot, Flight Attendant, In-Flight Caterer, Medevac Crew, K-9 Handler, Astronaut, A&P Mechanic, Detailer, Manufacturer, Designer, Military, Flight Instructor, Educator, Marketing, Aerial Photographer, Engineer, Avionics, Law Enforcement, Insurance, Drones, Publisher, Missions, or the many other opportunities available.)

The following criteria will be used to judge your essay.

1. / Comprehension25 points- How well does the essay respond to the question?
2. / Organization25 points- Does the essay follow a logical and easily understood progression? Are the main points supported by evidence and examples?
3. / Content & Creativity25 points- How compelling is your story?
4. / Writing25 points- Correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and use of language.

Submission GuidelinesDouble space the essay, using12 point font.Your submission must be in essay form which uses complete sentences; this is not Twitter or a text message.

  1. Each essay must reflect the contestant's own research, writing and original thoughts.
  2. Essays must be typed and submitted via email in a word document. The scholarship selection form and the applicant cover page must be submitted with the essay.
  3. The title of the essay, but NOT the author's name, MUST appear on the top of the first page of essay text.
  4. References used in the essay should be clearly identified.
