2016 SFMS Football Summer Schedule
The SFMS football team will workout on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer from 11:30am-12:30pm at Spanish Fort High School on “The Hill.” Summer workouts will be led by Atlas Herrion (Varsity football Strength and Conditioning Coach) and will begin June 6th. All players are strongly encouraged to attend these voluntary workouts. There will not be workouts the week of July 4th.
These workouts will be geared toward the development of middle school age athletes. The program is designed to increase speed, agility, and strength through age appropriate exercises. In addition, these workouts will create an environment for these kids to work together and build comradery with their teammates over the summer.
All players should report to Spanish Fort Middle School practice field on July 25th for on the field workouts with the SFMS Football Coaching Staff. During these workouts the players will be doing football specific drills and running plays to prepare for the fall season. It is very important that ALL players attend these 4 days of workouts. We will have the kids in helmets and shorts on July 25-28 (M-Thurs) from 8:30am-10:30am.
August 1st will be the first day of fall practice at SFMS. Helmets and shorts will be worn the first 2 days. Day 3 and 4 will be helmets and shoulder pads and day 5 will be full gear.
IMPORTANT DATES:
June 6th - First day of summer workouts (every Mon. Tues. and Thursday in June and July except week of the 4th of July) 11:30-12:30 SFHS
July 25-28 – First day of on field workouts with SFMS Coaches 8:30-10:30

August 1-4- WEEK ONE of fall practice @SFMS 8:30-10:30
August 8-11- WEEK TWO of fall practice @ SFMS 3:00-5:00
August 15-18- WEEK THREE of fall practice @ SFMS 3:15-5:15
· ALL EVENTS WILL BE POSTED ON THE SFMS FOOTBALL WEBSITE UNDER THE CALENDAR
· In order to participate starting August 1st you must have ALL paperwork turned in, including an up to date physical. These forms can also be found on the SFMS Football website under forms
· Spirit pack forms and money are due May 17th. (See attachment)
