Bell Ringer: Daily Language Review

Before/Engage: TSW begin Week 2 Vocabulary Cards: dubiously, gamboled, inexorable, legible, aberration. Cards should include: definition, a sentence using the word correctly and an antonym.

During/Explain: TSW continue/finish presenting projects to class.

After/Evaluate: Exit Slip- What was something you will remember about this project?

After/Evaluate: TSW be given an Elements of Fiction sheet in order to define the terms for the elements of plot development (individually) and discuss (whole group).

Before/Explain: Week 2 Vocabulary Card Check.

During/Explain: TSW discuss the parts of the Freytag Pyramid, types of conflict, characterization and author’s purpose.

After/Evaluation: TSW create a Freytag Pyramid for a common nursery rhyme story.
