BUILDING OWNER’S CONSENT TO A PROJECT

(3) confirm that I:
· am a legal entity and am willing and able to enter into a Funding Agreement with the Commonwealth of Australia, as represented by the Department of the Environment and Energy (Department), to install the renewable energy system identified in (5) below at the Building;
· or, my organisation, own the Building identified in (2) above and am authorised to submit this Building Owner’s Consent form;
· consent to the Applicant Organisation, identified in (1) above, submitting an application to the Department to seek funding for the installation of the renewable energy system at the Building;
· have, or will request, all necessary Commonwealth, state and local planning permits and approvals required to undertake the project described at (4) below;
· acknowledge that, as the building owner/manager, I am responsible for obtaining advice on, and being satisfied as to, the suitability of the renewable energy system for the Building;
· agree to manage the installation of the renewable energy system identified in (4) below and maintain the system according to product specifications;
· acknowledge that I will take on all rights and responsibilities for the ownership and ongoing maintenance, including costs and insurance obligations of the assets, including the renewable energy system, installed;
· consent to my details, including my personal information, being disclosed to the Department and that the Department may disclose, or allow at any time the disclosure of this information:
o to its advisers, employees or internal management for purposes related to the application and assessment processes, including to evaluate or otherwise assess applications and manage any resultant funding agreement;
o to the responsible Minister;
o in response to a request by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia;
o within the Department, or with another agency (including State and/or Territory agencies), where this serves the Australian Government’s legitimate interests; or
o where the information is authorised or required by law to be disclosed, noting that information submitted to the Australian Government is subject to the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) and its requirements; and
· acknowledge that if the application is successful, Commonwealth policy requires the Department to publish information on its website about funding recipients, including but not limited to:
o the name of the person or entity receiving the funding;
o title and purpose of the project;
o amount of funding awarded;
o term of the funding; and
o funding location.
(4) consent to the Applicant Organisation identified in (1) above submitting an application relating to the Building through the 2016 Solar Communities Program for the project described below:
