2015 Basha Baseball 100 Inning Game Rules & Procedures

Team Selection (based on 60 athletes)

  • Draft players onto teams using a blind draft (pull names from a hat)
  • Teams of 10
  • Conduct draft after school so boys are involved
  • Boys come up with a name for each team
  • Assign a coach to each team
  • Home Run Club will purchase jerseys for each team – dri-fit with Basha Baseball logo screened on the front

100 Inning Game Rules

  • Use 2 fields – Varsity Field & Freshman Field
  • Games are 9 innings, time limit 45 minutes
  • Games start every hour on the hour
  • Keep score, visible scoreboard and standings at each field
  • Top 2 teams compete in a 10 inning Championship Game
  • Each team will play 9 outs at a time, clear the bases after 3 outs
  • Each hitter gets one swing
  • Coaches will pitch from the mound or throw soft toss, player will field the position
  • If a screen is in use to protect the pitcher, a ball hit off the screen will be an automatic single, baserunners will advance one base
  • No stealing, can lead and backpick
  • All other High School Baseball Rules will apply
  • Tiebreaker: head to head, runs allowed, runs scored

Fundraiser Structure

  • Goal is to raise $10,000
  • Money raised will be used to:
  • Purchase game hats for the Freshman, JV and Varsity teams
  • Purchase pregame meals and snacks for the Freshman, JV and Varsity teams
  • Purchase a new Varsity Jersey
  • Fund Senior Day
  • Purchase Walk Up Songs for the JV and Varsity Teams
  • Reduce the cost of the End of Season Banquet
  • Field maintenance and upgrades
  • New equipment
  • Each player will be asked to submit 10 or more emails to be used during the online/email donation drive
  • Donations can be made per inning or as a flat donation
  • Donations can be made online using the Go Fund Me site or mailed to the Home Run Club
  • Players can print out a letter and mail it if they wish
  • Prizes to the team that wins the 100 Inning Game, to the team that raises the most money, and to the individual who raises the most money
