AHOUSE RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR JESSE D. BABINGTON, A FOURTHYEAR ELECTRICAL APPRENTICE WITH THE CHARLESTON ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION AND TO CONGRATULATE HIM ON RECEIVING FIRST PLACE IN THE 2015 NATIONAL CRAFT CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that Jesse Babington took top honors at the 2015 National Craft Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and
Whereas, the first person from South Carolina to win this prestigious competition, Mr. Babington was chosen from among one hundred eightyseven competitors representing eleven crafts throughout the United States; and
Whereas, born in Lake Whale, Florida, he left there when he was two years old and graduated from Fort Dorchester High School in North Charleston in 1996; and
Whereas, Mr. Babington, a resident of Summerville, is a fourthyear apprentice in the Charleston Electrical Contractors Association and has been employed as an electrician with Watson Electrical Construction since 2011; and
Whereas, together with his beloved wife, Teresa, he has been blessed with two fine children, Charlee and Griffin, and besides spending time with his family, he enjoys fishing and is an avid Nascar fan; and
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives appreciates the standard of excellence that Jesse Babington has set in his profession, and the members congratulate him on placing first in the 2015 National Craft Championships. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
Thatthe members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Jesse D. Babington, a fourthyear electrical apprentice with the Charleston Electrical Contractors Association and congratulate him on receiving first place in the 2015 National Craft Championships.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Jesse D. Babington.
