DAILLY CHURCH OF SCOTLAND (CHARITY NUMBER SC012591)

Dear Parishioner of Dailly ,

It is now more than a year since Dailly Church Hall completed its refurbishment. In that time a few individuals and groups have made use of the facilities that it offers. However sadly I feel that it has not been used as much as I had hoped that it would be. Obviously because it is a Church Hall there are restrictions on it use - including no alcohol and no games of chance – however I feel that that a number of new people and groups could make use of it. Obviously the Church needs to charge a rent (£8 an hour) for the use of the Hall to help with heating and lighting costs but hopefully it is felt that these charges are as low as possible.

I believe that there are a number of groups already in Dailly operating out of a number of different venues. However perhaps there are some potentially new groups which could be set up if enough people were interested. So I have written this letter to see if this is the case. Obviously if you are already committed to other things then I will quite understand and I thank you for reading thus far. However if you are interested in any of the suggestions below (or if you have a suggestion of your own to make) then I would be grateful if you could return this form to me.

Many thanks again,

Rev. Ian K McLachlan
