Ø  2 Two awards: Amount: $1000.00 each

Ø  A student must be proceeding to a post-secondary institution.

Ø  Candidate need not be the dependent of a KC member.

Ø  Criteria used for selection: 1) Academic Achievement, 2) School Activity, 3) Community Activity, 4) Essay on family values and lifestyle and 5) Financial Need.

Ø  Award payable with proof of registration.

Ø  Student has one year to collect the award.

Ø  To be considered for the bursary, the attached application must be completed in full, along with any requested attachments.

Application for Student Bursary

Application Information

The Knights of Columbus are proud to offer a bursary of $1000.00 to be awarded to students completing Grade XII and proceeding to a recognized post secondary institution in the province of British Columbia.

We are pleased to offer the following bursaries to the following high schools (Two per School):

·  Sardis Senior Secondary School - Bursary to graduating student.

·  Chilliwack Senior Secondary School - Bursary to graduating student.

·  G W Graham Middle Secondary – Bursary to graduating student.

The recipient has up to one year following high school graduation to collect the Bursary and to do so, must submit acceptable proof of registration in the post secondary institution within the province of British Columbia to the Chilliwack Knights of Columbus.

Please complete the attached application form and submit it in accordance with the instructions and deadline date provided by your school official responsible for scholarship or bursary matters. Also, your application must be filled in carefully, concisely, completely and independently in order for it to receive consideration by our review committee. The information provided will be reviewed and retained in complete confidence. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Recipients will be notified in the manner and custom prescribed by the school official responsible for bursary matters. This notice is usually given at the graduation ceremony for the particular high school.

While we can only award the numbers of bursaries specified above, we wish every applicant and graduating student all the best in their future educational and career endeavours.
