GMS (Georgia Military Scholarship) / The GMS is a $70,000 full-ride scholarship and it is only available at The University of North Georgia (UNG) Or Georgia Military College. It requires students to commission as a second lieutenant in the Georgia Army National Guard after finishing college. It pays 100% of college costs, including; room, meals, tuition, fees, uniforms and books. In addition to the scholarship benefits, students who are offered this scholarship will make about $40,000 in pay and benefits over their four years in college. After commissioning, Guard lieutenants start at about $7,500 per year for training one weekend per month and two weeks during the summer.
Students do not have to enlist in the Guard prior to applying for the scholarship. However, they must enlist prior to 1 August 2015.

Vernon E. Carne Scholarship
(Georgia United Credit Union) / Named for the founder of the Credit Union, the Vernon E. Carne scholarship focuses on a short essay of 250 words or less. This year’s topic is “Explain how the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people’ helps consumers during difficult economic times, while providing an alternative to large commercial banks”
In addition, students should complete a Georgia United scholarship form and include a copy of their high school transcript and a letter of acceptance from the college or technical school they will attend.

Eligibility

B. The applicant’s county of residence must be within the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
C. Applicants must be a high school student classified as a senior with a projected graduationdate of 2015.
D. The high school scholarship is open to any student meeting the above criteria (A, B, & C) andentering a college/university or technical school by fall of 2015.

FCREA Scholarship / The Forsyth County Retired Educators Association is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving senior from one of the five eligible high schools. George W. Jenkins Scholarship / Emory is pleased to announce a new partnership with Publix Super Markets Charities to offer the George W. Jenkins Scholarship. The George W. Jenkins Scholarship is a four-year scholarship awarded to admitted first-year students who have overcome extraordinary difficulties. The Jenkins Scholarship is open only to U.S. citizens who will be graduating from high schools in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee (all of which are home to Publix Super Markets). The George W. Jenkins Scholarship was established through the generosity of Publix Charities in partnership with Emory University in honor of the innovative self-starter and civic minded Publix founder. The award includes full tuition, fees, on-campus room and board, and a stipend each semester. In addition, the scholarship provides a computer at the start of the program of study. Two incoming Emory College first-year students will be named the George W. Jenkins Scholars each academic year. The scholarship is renewable for four years of undergraduate study with students needing to maintain at least a 3.0 GPA and full-time enrollment. Successful candidates will show in their application for admission purposeful engagement impacting their community, a strong work ethic, a history of overcoming significant adversity, and high financial need. All students who complete their application for admission and financial aid by our stated deadlines will be reviewed for this scholarship. Interested students must submit an additional essay emailed to Associate Dean of Admission, Giselle F. Jim and Jeanne DeSana Scholarship / The DeSana Scholarship will award and distribute a $5000 scholarship and it will be awarded and distributed over a four year period. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who can demonstrate financial need, leadership skills, extra-curricular activities, academic performance, academic and other scholastic awards and community involvement.

RiSE Scholarship / Student who have current documentation of a learning disability and at least a 2.5 GPA. These students can earn money for college by completing the following application attached here: RiSE Scholarship Application To be eligible students must be planning to attend a college or university and have submitted their application for admission prior to submitting their RiSE scholarship application. Documentation may include an I.E.P. and / or 504 plans, a letter from your psychologist who performed the educational testing or school counselor which details the diagnosis. McDonald’s Ray Kroc Youth Achievement Award / The student selected to receive McDonald’s Ray Kroc Youth Achievement Award should be one who gives back by participating in some form of volunteer work through the school and/or within the community (i.e., a school service club, scouting, a church youth group, community outreach programs, etc.); and/or is hard-working, displays integrity, sets a good example for his/her peers; and is simply a thoughtful, caring, very nice person to know!

Students will be selected for a local 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place cash prize. First place winners will advance to the VFW District 2 competition. Winners who advance to the National Competition have the opportunity to win a $30,000 scholarship.

AES Engineers Scholarship / AES believes that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason they are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by the evaluated essays that are submitted.
Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.
You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.

The Georgia Fire Sprinkler Association / The Georgia Fire Sprinkler Association awards scholarships annually in the amount of $1500, $1000, and $750 to high school seniors through an essay writing contest.

APCA Scholarship / The Asian Pacific Islanders for Professional and Community Advancement (APCA) is seeking qualified applicants for its 2015 National APCA Scholarship Program.
The scholarship program is open to all high school seniors of any ethnical or cultural background with a minimum GPA of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale. La Mujer Universal Scholarship / The Delta Alpha Chapter de Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority at The University of Georgia will award one scholarship in the amount of $500 to a graduating female student that meets the following criteria:
  • At least one parent of Hispanic/Latino heritage

Young Women Art and Design Exhibition / 3rdannual art and interior design exhibition and scholarship competition opportunity for high school women in Georgia – WADE – the young Women's Art and Design Exhibition: Monday, February 16, 2015 – President’s Dayat Brenau University. Key details about WADE. The competition is open to young women in9th,10th, 11th, and 12th grades and will offer up to $40,000 in scholarships and $1000 in cash awards. To enter, students submit digitized images via email, then ship or deliver their work to Brenau after notification of acceptance.. Co-Op Scholarship / 195 Merit scholarships totaling 4.7 million dollars will be awarded during the 13th Annual National Co-Op Scholarship Program.
Qualifications: Students must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale. In addition they must apply and be accepted for the 2015-2016 academic school year at one of the WACE Partner institutions which include;
Clarkson University, State University of New York Oswego, Drexel University, University of Cincinnati, Johnson & Wales University, University of Massachusetts Lowell, Rochester Institute of Technology, The University of Toledo, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Merrimack College, and Kettering University.
