RACE 1 – ALLEN WILLIAMS MEMORIAL HEAT SIX – 2090 METRES

Pre race swab samples were taken from ROCKET SEAL.

ABOYCALLEDSU raced roughly during the early stage of the score up.

Driver Nicholas Brockman (TAHLIA MISS) was reprimanded under AR 162(1)(g) in that he scored up in the incorrect barrier position when he scored up behind LIFEISWHATHAPPENS instead of TOP PARTY.

ANIMI SUB IGNIS was out of position at the start and will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

HES A MASTER raced roughly after the start.

KIRRAS STARZZZ KID hung out racing down the back straight on the first occasion.

ANIMI SUB IGNIS was inclined to hang in entering the front straight on the first occasion.

KIRRAS STARZZZ KID was held up for clear racing room during the early stages of the home straight.

COURAGE TO DREAM and DEE BEE BOBBY tired over the concluding stages.

Driver Nathan Ford (ROCKET SEAL) was reprimanded under AR 156(4)(d) in that he used the whip other than in a flicking motion in the home straight.

Stewards intend to inquire into the whip actions of driver Christian Salter (ROCKBANK DANCER) over the concluding stages.

ROCKET SEAL and TAHLIA MISS have been placed back in the mobile barrier draw.

RACE 2 – RED SHED RESTORATION BARN – 2090 METRES

Pre race swab samples were taken from JIVE KICKS.

HI FLYIN HAWK galloped free of interference during the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. Connections were advised that this gelding has been placed outside the draw for future mobile start events.

BILLY KHAN was out of position at the start however due to HI FLYIN HAWK being out of position at the start, Stewards took no further action.

IVE GOT OOMPH galloped free of interference racing on the first turn. Connections were advised that this gelding has been placed on its last chance to race truly.

BILLY KHAN hung out at approximately the 900 metres.

BILLY KHAN was held up for clear racing room during the early stages of the home straight.

CHAMPAGNE ROBBIE hung in under pressure on the home turn and tired over the concluding stages.

Driver Dylan Ford pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 162(1)(y) in that he failed to adhere to the sectional time requirements for this event. Mr Ford was subsequently fined the sum of $100.

BELLICIOUSLIPS underwent a post race veterinary examination and it was reported that this filly might be suffering from a virus. Stewards queried Dylan Ford in relation to the disappointing performance of BELLICIOUSLIPS. Mr Ford stated that the filly had worked well during the week and had pulled up satisfactorily following the race. Mr Ford further stated that he was very disappointed in the filly’s performance and could offer no further explanation. Stewards noted the comments of Mr Ford.

Post race swab samples were taken from STAMPEEDING the winner of the event.

Trainer Ivan Belbin was found guilty of a charge under AR 210 in that he failed to confirm a driver on CULLENS COUNT NZ prior to the required time. Mr Belbin was subsequently fined the sum of $50.

RACE 3 – RED SHED FURNITURE WAREHOUSE – 2090 METRES

Pre race swab samples were taken from STORMY TARA NZ.

GOSH HEZA REBEL NZ pulled hard during the score up.

ANINCHOFHISLIFE pulled hard during the early and middle stages.

Driver Christian Salter (ANINCHOFHISLIFE) was reprimanded under AR 163(1)(b) in that entering the back straight on the final occasion he allowed his horse to shift ground outwards and as a result STERLISH NZ (Mark Yole) was obliged to race in a 4 wide position just prior to the candy pole.

NOW SHEZATERROR NZ galloped free of interference approaching the winning post, as a result GUERRO and BETA BOLT were momentarily inconvenienced. NOW SHEZATERROR NZ underwent a post race veterinary examination and it was reported that no obvious abnormalities could be detected. Connections were advised that this mare has been placed on its last chance to race truly.

Stewards intend to inquire into the reasons why ANINCHOFHISLIFE (Christian Salter) appears to race roughly entering the home straight, when NOW SHEZATERROR NZ (Rohan Hillier) obtains a clear run.

Stewards intend to inquire into the reasons why Rohan Hillier (NOW SHEZATERROR NZ) failed to attend an inquiry when required to do so, following the running of this event.

Post race swab samples were taken from STORYM TARA NZ the winner of the event.

RACE 4 – DANNY LAWLER DIVISION ONE – 2090 METRES

Pre race swab samples were taken from BUNJIL BOY.

ISLAND DISCO (Christian Salter) and ISLAND AFFAIR (Kenneth Austin) jostled for a position in the one out line soon after the start until entering the back straight on the first occasion.

ONE TOUGH REIGN NZ was momentarily inconvenienced racing in the back straight on the final occasion when the pace momentarily slackened.

MES ELSU NZ pulled hard during the early and middle stages of the event.

RACE 5 – PETER COOLEY DIVISION TWO – 2090 METRES

Pre race swab samples were taken from KIKUYU NZ and LUKE PETER NZ.

Driver Kenneth Austin (HOT BROMAC) was reprimanded under AR 162(1)(g) in that he scored up in the incorrect position when he scored up behind HERES YOUR CHOCKY instead of the DON’T PULL MY CHAIN.

LUKE PETER NZ was held up for clear racing room from approximately the 400 metres until entering the home straight.

Driver Tim Yole (WESTERN KARAMEA NZ) pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 162(1)(y) in that he failed to adhere to the sectional time requirements for this event. Mr Yole was subsequently fined the sum of $100.

Stewards intend to inquire into the whip actions of driver Heath Szczypka (KIKUYU NZ) over the concluding stages.

RACE 6 – STEF PYE – 2090 METRES

Pre race swab samples were taken from GUYS DELIGHT and HELEN WHEELS.

Driver Christian Salter (MODERN TEARS) was reprimanded under AR 156(2) in that he used his whip with a free hand on 2 occasions prior to the 200 metres.

IGNORANCE IS BLISS hung in during the score up.

CITY BABE was held up for clear racing room during the early stages of the home straight.
