2013-2014CHSA WOLVERINE BASKETBALL FUNDRAISER

To help offset a portion of our costs this season, we are going to again have CHSA basketball tee-shirts made with the names of individual and company sponsors. We ask our player families to solicit these sponsorships. The tee-shirt design will include the CHSA name and official logo along with the names of all sponsors who donate $150 or more. We will include the business logoon the shirt if the sponsor donates $300 or more. Here is how it will work. Our player families go to their dentist, doctor, barbershop, car repair shop, hair dresser, other neighborhood small businesses, rich grandparents and friends, etc. asking them if they would like to sponsor CHSA and in return, get their name printed on the back of this season’s tee-shirt. If they are willing to donate but unable to donate the minimum tee-shirt sponsorship of $150, we will thankfully accept any donation. For your information, CHSA has already solicited many of the large companies, which have stores in this area,e.g., Academy, Foot Locker, Sports Authority, HEB, etc. for sponsorships earlier this season. Therefore, this tee-shirt sponsorship effort should targetmore locally owned independent businesses. The attached flyer is available to communicate what CHSA is about and how their money will help us. Let them know that their donation is tax-deductible since CHSA is a non-profit charitable organization. Fill out a Sponsorship Form (attached) for each sponsor/donator so we have the information we need for the shirts. Checks should be made payable to CHSA or Christian Home School Athletics. The deadline for collecting these sponsorships is December 31st. Please return all completed Sponsorship Forms and collected funds to the designated person for your team. These shirts will then be manufactured and distributed to all CHSA players bymid-January.This will allow them tobe worn by those going to the end-of-season local, State, and National Home School Basketball Tournaments. If enough funds are collected from sponsors, a tee-shirt will be given at no cost to every CHSA player and coach. Some extra tee-shirts will be made for sale to player family members at minimal cost. 2013-2014 CHSA WOLVERINES

Christian Home School Athletics (CHSA) is a non-profit volunteer-run organization that has provided competitive athletic programs for home school students between the ages of 8 and 18 who reside in the Clear Lake City area since 1994.

CHSA’s Mission is to support families in training home schooled students to successfully participate in a competitive, athletic environment. We will foster athletic teams that manifest the Fruits of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control) on and off the court. We strive to educate our young adults so they grow spiritually, mentally, and emotionally as well as physically.

CHSA currently offers boys and girls basketball and girls volleyball programs.

CHSA teams compete with local public and private schools and with other local home school organizations. CHSA teams also compete with other home school organizations in regional, state, and national tournaments.

CHSA Wolverine home games are played at San Jacinto College – South Campus.

Approximately 125 local home school students are current members of a CHSA Wolverine basketball and/or volleyball team.

CHSA needs the continued support of the community to underwrite a portion of our program costs, e.g., rental of practice gyms, tournament fees.

All sponsors are recognized on our team professionally screen printed tournament tee-shirts and acknowledged at the end-of-season Basketball Banquet.

CHSA is a 501-c-3 non-profit organization (IRS Taxpayer ID #42-1546284). It is the responsibility of each contributor to determine the tax deductibility of the donation.
