FACILITIES: The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). It is an 8-lane, 25yardoutdoor competition pool with a water depth of 5 feet 6 inches at a distance of 1 meterfrom both end walls and a water depth of 5 feet at a distance of 5 metersfrom both end walls. It has non-turbulent lanelinesandsemi-automatic Colorado electronic timing system with two buttons per lane.The Meet Director reserves the right to use a 6, 7, or 8 lane course depending upon the number of entries and estimated session length. Use ofaudio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changingareas, rest rooms or locker rooms.

RULES2012 USA Swimming rules will govern the meet.“Any swimmer entered in the meet, SAFETY unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.” 6/9/2010 Conduct of swim teams andtheir swimmers aresubject to the rules and regulations of the facility.

ELIGIBILITY: All participants must be USA Swimming registered athletes. Entries will not be accepted without 2012 registration numbers. Coaches and officials must present evidence of certification as required by Southeastern Swimming. A swimmer’s age on the first day of the meet will determine his or her age for the entire meet.

HOSPITALITY: There will be a hospitality room available for coaches and officials only.

OFFICIALSAll officials planning on being at the meet and working some or all sessions should CORNER: contact the Meet Referee. There will be an officials meeting 30 minutes prior to each session.

COACHES:A coaches’ meeting will be held at 9:45 AM on Saturday.

DISABILITIES: Swimmers with disabilities are welcome and must complete theInformation Form for Disabled Swimmers and return it with the entries.

ENTRIES: Teams are urged to submit entries using HY-TEK’s “Team Manager”program via email. A computer printout of entries for verification purposes must accompany the team check. Teams without “Team Manager” must use enclosedentry forms. Entries are to be listed in short course yards or “NT”.

MEET FORMAT: This is a timed finals meet. All events will be pre-seeded.

Pentathlon:Swimmers compete in a series of five events. Below is the line-up by age groups:

8 & under: 25 Free, 25 Back, 25 Breast, 25 Fly, 100 IM

9-10:50 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Fly, 100 IM

11-12:50 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Fly, 100 IM

Open: 100 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Fly, 200 IM

LIMIT: Swimmers may enter a maximum of 5 individual events per day exclusive of relays. The meet director reserves the right to reorganize the meet as necessary to stay within the guidelines of USAswimming. Entries will be limited to the 4 hour rule of USA Swimming.

Total entries will be limited to 200 swimmers.

FEES: $5.00 per individual event

$10.00 per relay

$3.00 per swimmer SES surcharge

WARM-UP:Southeastern Swimming Meet Safety Guidelines and Warm-up Procedures will be in effect at this meet. The Meet Director will post a warm-up schedule the week of the meet and announce the warm-up assignments prior to the start of each session. Swimmers attending the meet without a coach must report to the Meet Director or Referee to be assigned a coach for warm-up prior to each session. A Swimmer Assignment Form will be completed for all swimmers without coaches.

SCORING: For the Pentathlon, total timeis used to rank the swimmers. The swimmer’s times from their 5 events (IM, Fly, Back, Breast, and Free) are added together. The fastest 3total times win individual high point awards.

A swimmer must enter all five events to be eligible for high pointawards. A disqualification or no show in any event will remove the swimmer from high point scoring.

AWARDS: Ribbons will be awarded for first through eighth place in all individualand relay events. Individual high point awards for the fastest 3 total times will be givenfor each gender and age group (8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, and Open).
