2010 National Community Committee's "Community Partnership Engagement Award" Recipients
On behalf of the National Community Committee (NCC) and its Content Subcommittee, I am extremely pleased to announce the recipients of the NCC’s inaugural “Community Partnership Engagement Award- 2010.” This award was given out during the NCC’s Annual Planning Meeting in Seattle, WA, on October 11, 2010. Its purpose is to recognize the Prevention Research Centers (PRCs) that are “fostering close collaboration with their local community committees” in respect to their CDC-funded core CBPR research projects.
Essentially, every PRC that submitted the required award documentation received an award certificate! These same PRCs will be eligible for NCC’s upcoming Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) Best Practice Award. (Information on this will be released within the month.)
