Marching Units and Animals will assemble in the parking lots between the Library and the Court House. Color Guard and Veteran Organizations will assemble in the Library parking lot. Vehicles and floats will assemble along Fowler Street in assigned numerical order. Bands in parking lot across the street from Library.
All assemble November 11, 2011 at 9:00 AM for an 11:00 AM start.
WAIVER AND RELEASE
In consideration of acceptance of this application, the following undersigned (if the undersigned is a group, each and every member of the undersigned participating in the Veterans Day Parade) is hereby released and forever discharged, and hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Veterans Day Parade Committee, Douglas County, the City of Roseburg, the VA Medical Center, and each, every, and all of their Officers, Directors, Members, Agents and employees, of and from personal injury or property damage occurring to the applicant/group and any personal injury or property damage occurring to any third person or entity arising out of directly, or indirectly, the participation of the applicant in the Veterans Day Parade. The applicant and the “Responsible Officer” signing below, assumes all risks/liabilities incurred for members and group.

IMPORTANT RULES AND REMINDERS
Ø / The Douglas County Veterans Day Parade is held each year to specifically honor our Veterans. The Douglas County Veterans Parade Committee has requested that no political signs or other political statements be displayed. Any entry or organization displaying political signs and/or statements will be asked to remove any such display, and if necessary, will not be allowed admission to any future Veterans Parades.
Ø / There will be no solicitations, fund-raising activities or panhandling during the entire Veterans Parade.
Ø / FLAG ETIQUETTE WILL BE OBSERVED AT ALL TIMES!
Ø / Because of possible injury to spectators, no items may be tossed from any moving entry to parade spectators.
Ø / Portable toilets will be located in the Parade assembly area and along Parade route.
Ø / Pooper Scoopers are required for horse and other animal groups.
Ø / NO vehicle burnouts will be tolerated.
