Please Note: All nominations for awards must be for work and achievements between the 30th September 2015 and 30th September 2016. We Look forward to receiving your nominations, the closing date is the 28th October 2016.

Award / Award Description / Nomination Criteria
Sports Awards
Sports Person of the Year / The male/female athlete whose performances have most embodied the spirit of sportsmanship and achievement. / §  Nominees must represent a club in Hinckley and Bosworth.
Junior Sportsperson of the Year / The male/female junior athlete whose performances have most embodied the spirit of sportsmanship and achievement. / §  Nominees must represent a club in Hinckley and Bosworth.
§  Nominees must be under 18 years of age on 30th September 2016.
Junior Disabled Sportsperson of the Year / The male/female disabled junior athlete whose performances have most embodied the spirit of sportsmanship and achievement. / §  Nominees must represent a club in Hinckley and Bosworth.
§  Nominees must be registered disabled or have a SEN Statement.
§  Nominees must be under 18 on 30th September 2016.
Disabled Sportsperson of the Year / The male/female disabled athlete whose performances have most embodied the spirit of sportsmanship and achievement. / §  Nominees must represent a club in Hinckley and Bosworth.
Veteran Sportsperson of the Year / The male/female veteran athlete whose performances have most embodied the spirit of sportsmanship and achievement. / §  Nominees must represent a club in Hinckley and Bosworth.
§  Nominees must be 55+ on 30th September 2016
Club of the year / The team or club whose performances have most embodied the spirit of sportsmanship and achievement. / §  Clubs must have a home venue, pitch, clubhouse, facility or regular use of a facility in Hinckley and Bosworth.
§  Clubs should have achieved NGB Accreditation/ClubMark (i.e. Charter Standard, Swim 21 etc) with specific achievements in club development (i.e. increased junior section, disability sport etc).
Volunteer Awards
Young Volunteer of the Year / This award is given to a young person in recognition of his or her exceptional contribution to the Borough. / §  Excellent commitment to unpaid work, with positive results and achievements through making a difference to sport.
§  Must volunteer in the District.
§  Nominees must be under 18 on 30th September 2016.
Adult Volunteer of the Year / This award is given to an adult in recognition of his or her exceptional contribution to the Borough. / §  Excellent commitment to unpaid work with positive results and achievements through making a difference to sport.
§  Must volunteer in the District.
Unsung Hero / This award is given to a person who has made a substantive contribution to sport in the Borough. / §  We are looking for an individual who, on a voluntary basis, makes a difference to sport in the borough.
§  Nominees must live, or represent a club, in the borough.
Coach of the year / This For the coach that has made a positive impact through their contributions over the past year. / §  We are looking for an individual who has gone above and beyond their coaching requirements to support the development of individuals.
§  Nominees must be a coach at a club in the borough.
Lifetime Achievement / This award is given to an individual who has had a positive impact on sport in the borough during their lifetime. / ·  We are looking for an individual who consistently over a lifetime has made a major contribution to sport in the borough.
§  Nominees must represent a club in Hinckley and Bosworth
Health Awards
Active Lifestyle / To celebrate those individuals who have changed their lifestyle and now lead a healthy and active lifestyle, inspiring others to do the same and/or have completed the Health Referral Scheme / §  Nominees must live within Hinckley and Bosworth.
School Awards
Primary School of the Year / Contribution and Achievements in Physical Education and School Sport
