A HOUSE RESOLUTION
TO CELEBRATE THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF DR. MARCIA L. BAILEY, COPASTOR AND COFOUNDER OF RIGHT DIRECTION CHRISTIAN CENTER IN COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA, AND TO EXPRESS APPRECIATION FOR HER LEADERSHIP, GUIDANCE, AND DEDICATION.
Whereas, Marcia Bailey, pursued a bachelor’s degree in special and elementary education at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. She worked beside her husband, Herbert Bailey, Jr., as Assistant Pastor of Sanctuary Evangelistic Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and in the Church of God in Christ in Portland, Maine; and
Whereas, before she and her husband founded Right Direction Christian Center, she served as facilitator of women’s counseling groups; and
Whereas, her experience and training in education has uniquely qualified her as an administrator and as an anointed teacher of the Word of God. Pastor Bailey has a strong anointing for prayer and intercession and is used by God in the Word of wisdom and discerning of spirits; and
Whereas, Pastor Marcia L. Bailey, is CoPastor of Right Direction Christian Center which was founded in the heart of her husband, Pastor Herbert Bailey, Jr., in July 1995 when he visited Columbia to interview for a corporate management position. He was offered the corporate position and relocated to Columbia for the purpose of founding Right Direction Christian Center; and
Whereas, with Pastor Marcia Bailey working beside her husband to fulfill the vision, a bible study started in their home with five adults and five children and has grown to over eleven hundred members, over thirty ministries, seventy thousand square feet of facilities, and assets in excess of five million dollars on twentyseven acres; and
Whereas, Pastor Bailey has received the Doctor of Divinity from St. Thomas Christian College, Jacksonville, Florida; and
Whereas, Pastor Bailey’s family is second only to God. She is a loving, devoted wife to her husband and a dedicated and loving mother to Chandler, Tyler, Daniel, and Kindra; and
Whereas, as a shepherd, mentor, confidante, teacher, intercessor, and visionary, Pastor Marcia L. Bailey, is truly a unique individual who gives selflessly of her spiritual, emotional and natural talents without compromising the Word of God, and for this she deserves much recognition. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives celebrate the accomplishments of Dr. Marcia L. Bailey, CoPastor and cofounder of Right Direction Christian Center in Columbia, South Carolina and express appreciation for her leadership, guidance, and dedication.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. Marcia Bailey.
