AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 12282740, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE GASOLINE USER FEES AMONG THE VARIOUS COUNTIES AND COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEES ENTITLED TO EXPEND “C” FUNDS, SO AS TO AUTHORIZE A COUNTY LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION, BY RESOLUTION, TO RENAME THE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE AS THE LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE OF THAT COUNTY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Authority to rename
SECTION1.Section 12282740 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 293 of 2002, is further amended by adding an appropriately lettered subsection at the end to read:
“( )The legislative delegation of the county, by resolution, may rename the county transportation committee established by this section as the (insert name of county) Legislative Delegation transportation committee. Upon the adoption of such a resolution, all references in this section and any other provisions of law to the county transportation committee, for purposes of that county, are deemed references to that county’s legislative delegation transportation committee.”
Time effective
SECTION2.This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 20th day of April, 2004.
