25-Yard Rear Loader Refuse Truck

One new and unused, current production model, tandem axle, rear loading refuse truck to meet the following minimum specifications.

  1. To be mounted on a Freightliner M2 chassis.
  2. Minimum 67,000 lbs. GVW.
  3. Certified 12,000 lbs. Push axle.
  4. Cummins ISC- 350 Hp diesel engine.
  5. 115-volt engine block heater.
  6. Allison 3500 RDS automatic transmission with PTO provision.
  7. Truck must be able to pack refuse on the “fly”(on the go).
  8. Truck must be equipped with a mounted cooler bracket to fit up to a 5 gallon round Igloo Cooler.
  9. Truck to be equipped with ABS air brakes.
  10. Frame mounted air dryer.
  11. Wheelbase to be coordinated with body company before chassis is ordered.
  12. Minimum 50-gallon fuel tank.
  13. Largest capacity DEF tank available.
  14. Tires are to be straight type treads on front and traction type treads on rear, tires to be compatible with GVW.
  15. To be equipped with engine or transmission retarder.
  16. To include radiator draincock.
  17. Pull cable drain valves on all air tanks, accessible from side of truck.
  18. Tilt steering wheel.
  19. Heavy-duty heater/ defroster with air conditioning.
  20. Air suspension drivers seat, 2-man toolbox non-suspended passenger seat.
  21. Dash mounted AM/ FM/ CD radio with antenna and speakers. Radio must be blue-tooth capable.
  22. 25-yard heavy-duty rear loader body with 1000 lb. +/yard packing density.
  23. Must be equipped to dump 6-yard dumpsters from rear. To include safety caches and hydraulically operated winch.
  24. Minimum 3 cubic yard hopper.
  25. Tail gate safety props.
  26. Body access door.
  27. All lights on truck body to be L.E.D. lights.
  28. Hopper work lights.
  29. Side mounted rear facing traplights.
  30. 3/ 16-inch hopper liner.
  31. Fire extinguisher and mounting bracket.
  32. Dual cab buzzers.
  33. Peterson smart lights.
  34. Front and rear strobe lights.
  35. Safety vision rear camera.
  36. Lower hopper edge no more than 39 inches off the street.
  37. Heated outside mirrors.
  38. (2) Roadway Display Inc. sign boards 42” x 96”, one mounted on each side of bed.
  39. Cab to be painted chrome or school bus yellow, to match existing trucks.
  40. Bed to be painted blue, to match existing trucks.
  41. Must include Four (4) complete sets of keys.
  42. Specify all warranties for chassis and body.
  43. Operator’s manuals for both chassis and bed.
  44. Shop and service manuals for both chassis and body, Windows compatible CD preferred.
