Fixture Operation:

1)  Turn the power switch “On”

2)  The LCD will read the following text:

A)  “Do you want the fixture to reset?”

“If yes, hit the reset button twice.”

“If no, press the zero button.”

i)  If the reset button was pressed twice, Motor M1 will move the wand left until it hits Switch S1, Motor M2 will move the tray backwards until it hits Switch S3, and then the program will move on to step 2B.

ii)  If the zero button was pressed, the program will move on to step 2B.

B)  “Input the test duration in minutes and press ENTER (duration must be less than 100).”

i)  If the number entered was less than 100, the program will move on to step 2C.

ii)  If the number entered was greater than or equal to 100, the LCD will read “Improper duration. Please enter a number less than 100.” and the program will repeat step 2B.

C)  If the number entered was less than 100, the LCD will read:

“Verify Duration:”

“If the number entered was correct, press ENTER.”

“If the number entered was incorrect, press CLR.”

i)  If ENTER was pressed, the program will move on to step 3.

ii)  If CLR was pressed, the program will repeat 2B.

3)  The LCD now starts counting down the time.

While the time is greater than zero, the program will complete the following steps:

4)  Increment M2 to the buffer distance.

5)  M2 oscillates.

6)  M1 moves right until S2.

7)  M2 increments positively and starts oscillating.

8)  M1 moves left until S1.

9)  Repeat steps 4-6.

10)  M2 continues oscillating.

11)  M1 moves left until S1.

12)  M1 increments negatively and starts oscillating.

13)  M1 moves right until S2.

14)  M2 increments negatively and starts oscillating.

15)  M1 moves left until S1.

16)  Repeat steps 5-15.

When the time reaches zero, the following will be displayed:

17)  LCD reads “The test is complete.”

“Turn the wand off and remove it.”

“Press the RESET button twice.”
