PIZZA
FIRST DAY
Recipe
2 ½ c. flour ½ tsp. sugar
2 t. dry yeast 1 Tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. very hot tap water
1. Combine together: 2 cups flour, yeast, sugar and salt.
2. Add oil and water to flour mixture. Mix together until smooth. (Stir with wooden spoon)
3. Add: more flour (up to ½ cup), beat with wooden spoon.
4. Turn out dough onto floured counter.
5. Knead 5 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic.
6. Put pizza dough in clear wrap and wrap loosely.
7. Write your kitchen and period number on top and place on cookie sheet on demo table.
8. Dough will be refrigerated over night.
SECOND DAY
1. Preheat oven to 450F. Oven rack should be in the lowest position in oven.
2. Roll dough out on floured counter with a rolling pin - until almost the size of the pizza pan.
3. DO NOT REROLL YOUR PIZZA DOUGH
4. Sprinkle your pizza pan with about 1 tsp. of cornmeal.
5. Put dough on pizza pan.
6. Mix tomato sauce, Italian Season, salt, and pepper together.
7. Spread sauce onto dough.
8. Grate cheese.
9. On top of tomato sauce with seasoning put on cheese and any other food you may have brought.
10. Bake until dough is light brown. 15 – 20 minutes.
Recipe for pizza sauce:
1 cup tomato sauce ½ tsp. garlic dash salt
1 tsp. Italian Seasoning dash (less than ¼tsp.) pepper
