Meeting was called to order at 9:36am by Elizabeth D. Nominee votes were submitted and we are now waiting for the fax polls to come in. We need to get a guest speaker for our upcoming brunch on October 11th 2017. The fee has been waived for the brunch as this would possibly encourage more attendees, although our limit of guest is 75 we are still asking everyone to register. We have extended an invitation to our community partners, WDB Full Board, Cape May County Committee Chair, DDD representative, and Angela Hendrickson Directed of Supported Employment. Candace T. suggested that we obtain pictures from the honorees and have a display table. Candace T. will contact Anne D. to obtain a group picture of the Chartwells group. Laura N. will contact Walmart Mgr. to attend with the possibility of nominating someone next year. Ribbons of Honor will be given and worn by all DVRS Staff. Elizabeth D. is suggesting that each committee member submit a short spotlight summary to post on the WDB/Facebook site. All submission should be given to Alicia O. by October 30th to ensure that it will be on the sites for November. Nina S. stated that she will submit a video for the web site. Alicia O. suggested that last year’s brunch pictures be submitted as well.
Updates
The Assistant Director of DVRS is retiring after 42yrs of dedicated service. Currently there is a position open in Voc. Rehab in Cape May requiring a Master’s in social work and counseling. The Pleasantville Office will have an intern from Rutgers
Nina S.- FYI: there is a Dog Walker position available therefore should anyone have a candidate please contact the office.
