Sanders

  4. Using lots of pressure and sanding end grain can damage the sanderTF

Miter Saw

  1. You can cut material less than 30cm or one foot on the miter sawTF

  3. It is safe to cross your arms when using the miter sawTF
  4. Odd shaped items can only be cut on the miter sawTF
  5. You can cut as fast as possible on the miter sawTF

Planer

  1. It is not ok to pass material through the planer that is shorter than 12”TF

  5. It is safe to push material through the planer with loose knotsTF
  6. Always stand directly behind the planer when using itTF

Router Table

  1. Routers make little sound, hearing protection is not neededTF
  2. Sometimes you can’t see the router bit, keep your fingers backTF
  3. Use both hands while feeding the wood on a router tableTF
  4. The arrows on the router table are not there for any reasonTF
  5. Force the wood through the router, that’s what it’s made forTF
  6. Use a push stick to feed the wood through and to keep your fingers safeTF

Lathe

  1. Safety glasses and a face shieldare not required on the LatheTF
  2. There is no need to lock the clamps on the LatheTF
  3. Feeling the wood while the lathe is on is okTF
  4. Remove the tool rest when sandingTF
  5. The Lathe should vibrate or shakeTF
  6. Cracked or material with knots could come apart on the latheTF

Table Saw

  3. It is ok to catch or grab wood coming off the table saw TF
