1. Reporting Date: The report date will always be on a FRIDAY, and the start date will always be on a SATURDAY. In-processing hours: 0900-1300 on FRIDAY at the ARNG Warrior Training Center (WTC), 6901 Rosell Road, Bldg 4157.

2. Orders: Incoming students will have 5 copies of their orders assigning them to the Ranger Training Assessment Course (RTAC) and Ranger Course. 1610's (TDY) are the Units responsibility. Students who are TDY Enroute must also have 5 copies of their PCS orders, and their 201 personnel file or equivalent with them.

3. Medical: The WTC Medical Section will screen all medical, dental, and administrative paperwork and attempt to fix MINOR deficiencies for Ranger School attendance. However, personnel should make every attempt possible to arrive with the following on DAY 0:

a. Ranger approved physical examination (DD 2807-1 & DD 2808), and copies of all laboratory or specialized consultations, dated within 18 MONTHS of course start date. Physical examination standards are IAW AR 40-501, Chapter 2, and 5-3. Examination performed as per Chapter 8. b. Medical/Dental records: With the advent of AHLTA (the computer based record keeping system); medical/dental records will no longer be brought to Ranger school by students. RTAC students will only bring a copy of their current physical (DD 2807-1 & DD 2808), and a MEDPROS print out that includes a routine immunization summary printout. A complete physical includes: completed DD Form 2807/2808 with a Doctor and Dentist signature; current DD Form 2216E (audiogram); a printed copy of all required labs, radiology reports, and EKG as applicable.

c. Appropriate waivers: Waivers will be attached to the Ranger Physical. See Waiver section of the RTB website for more detailed information (https://www.benning.army.mil/rtb/content/Medical_Information.html).

d. Soldiers attending a winter class (any class that has any training conducted between 1 OCT - 30 APR of any given year) must have documentation showing they have received their H1N1 vaccine and their yearly flu shot.

4. Commander's Validation Letter: Incoming students will have a copy of the commanders validation letter. The letter will address the student’s ability to perform certain Ranger Task skills. The standards for the letter and a sample letter are provided by visiting:

5. RANK: Students not from the Ranger Regiment or the Ranger Training Brigade must be in the Rank of PFC / E-3 or above to attend the Ranger Training Assessment Course. Students who do not meet this requirement must receive a waiver from the Warrior Training Center Commander prior to the start of the Course. The letter must be signed by the students Company Commander. The request will be in standard memorandum format stating the students standard name line, circumstances and the class date the student will attend.
