Australian Jamboree 2019 Fund Raising Rules

1st Whoop-Whoop Scout Troop has a few simple rules in place to help make our fund-raising as fair and equitable as possible whilst respecting the values and structure of the Scout Troop.

  • Parents are invited to form anAJ2019 Fundraising Committee to assist the Scouts in organising the various fund-raising activities.
  • The Troop Council (Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders) is the governing body for the Scout Troop and the Jamboree Fundraising Committee shall have the approval of and periodically report to the Troop Council.
  • Fund-raising activities are to be true to the ideals of Scouting. All policies, rules and Scouting Instructions are to be followed.
  • Fund raising events are not to conflict with Group efforts, which have priority. The impact on the Scouting program is to be as minimal as possible.
  • All funds will be held in trust by the Group Committee and will only be released for Jamboree expenses.
  • Funds will be allocated on an event by event basis to those attending Scouts, Parents and Leaders who participate in the fund-raising activity.
  • [OPTIONAL version 1]An equal division of the funds will occur and no attempt will be made to pro-rata the division based upon perceived effort.
  • [OPTIONAL version 2] Funds will be divided based on the number of hours Scouts, Parents and Leaders participate in the fund-raising activity.
  • If a Scout leavesScouting then the funds allocated to that Scout will be re-allocated amongst the other Scouts still attending AJ2019 on an event by event basis.
  • Should a Scout move to another Group then their share of the funds raised will be held in trust by the Group Committee and released to Scouts Australia (NSW Branch) as requested.
  • If any Scout decides not to go to the Jamboree after making payments from monies raised from fundraising efforts then that portion of money will be re-allocated to attending Scouts. It will not be refunded.
  • In the event of raising more funds than are required for Jamboree payments (that would be great!) then additional funds will be directed towards the purchase of items that the Scout will take to Jamboree (eg day pack, troop T-Shirt, etc)

I have read the above fundraising rules and by participating in the fundraising events agree to abide by them.

Signed
