1st Semester Social Studies Project Packet
Part I. Multi-tier Timelines
You will create two multi-tier timelines. One will cover either Ancient India or China, and the other will cover either Greece or Rome. You decide. You must include at least 10 events for each timeline. You can use your book to help complete this assignment. Remember events must be placed proportionally on the timeline. Famous people will be one tier and significant events will be the opposite tier. You must have at least 3 events for each tier.

Complete the vocabulary pictograms for each ancient civilization we discussed during the 1st semester. Pictograms are personal drawings or representations using pictures found elsewhere that show a word’s meaning. If you choose not to do the pictogram you may write a sentence that shows you know the meaning of the given word. This should not be the definition, but a CREATIVE sentence you prepared on your own.
