A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING MRS. LEOLA BROWN OF RICHLAND COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF MOTHER’S DAY FOR HER EXCEPTIONAL DEVOTION TO HER FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND CHURCH.
Whereas, Mrs. Leola Brown of Richland County was born on August 4, 1915; and
Whereas, she is the wife of the late Mr. Furman Brown; and
Whereas, together, Mr. and Mrs. Brown reared sixteen children; and
Whereas, Mrs. Brown is a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she is a member of the Jubilee Choir; and
Whereas, she is an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star; and
Whereas, Mrs. Brown enjoys reading the Bible, fishing, participating in both her community’s Neighborhood Watch organization and the Forest Senior Citizens Association, and she enjoys mentoring young people; and
Whereas, she is an outstanding individual of great faith, hope, and love, who is respected by all who know her, and is highly deserving of recognition on this happy and heartfelt occasion of Mother’s Day. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognizes and commends Mrs. Leola Brown of Richland County on the occasion of Mother’s
. Day for her exceptional devotion to her family, friends, and church.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mrs. Leola Brown.
