CHECKLIST OF ITEMS NEEDED FORSTATE

AT SCHOOL

____ Arrange transportation

____ Pack first aid kit (bandages, pins, needle, thread, tape, ice bags etc.)

____ Pack make-up items

____ Pack hair items

____ Trunks or appropriate undergarments

____ Hosiery or socks

____ Uniforms

____ Shoes or slippers (pack extra pair)

____ Gloves

____ Mirror for the dressing area

____ Money for concessions or state souvenirs

____ Extra costume parts

____ Performance CD (high quality)

____ Practice CD’s (1 track per disc)

____ CD player for your own team use in locker rooms only (volume must be kept low!)

____Do NOT take any items of value to the State Tournament. There WILL NOT be a secured space for storage. Neither the TargetCenter nor the MSHSL shall be responsible for lost or stolen items.

AT TARGET CENTER

1.Coach ONLY - check into registration area approx. 30 minutes prior to marking time. Be sure to check the schedule to see when registration times close.

2.On both Friday and Saturdayregistration opens at 7:00 a.m. forCLASS A dance teams, and at 8:15 a.m. for Class AA & AAA. Teams will not be allowed to register before these times. (If you are competing both days, you will need to register BOTH days).

3.Registration closes at 10:30 a.m. on Friday and on Saturday for qualifying competition registrants.

4.Dance teams unload and enter inside the TargetCenter building. Enter garage door on 7th Streetjust off of 1st Avenue.

5.Receive the correct number of wristbands for your line. Only those dancers and coaches listed in the information you provide to the League Office will receive wristbands/passes.

6.Check data sheet at the registration desk to approve all vital information. This sheet is used to announce your team.

7.Check the song list so the webcast company has an accurate title for your competition.

8.Pick up your packet. Recheck practice time, performance order, and approximate performance time.

9.Make sure all of your dancers have their wristbands on.

10.Find your dressing room area. Wristbands must be worn by all members from this point on.

11.Wristbands will allow you to be readmitted to the building without charge.

12.Uniform Check is optional. If you want your uniform to be checked you must make this request at registration. If you choose to have your uniform checked, please be sure to have one dancer in FULL UNIFORM present by 10:30a.m. As indicated in the Rulebook, a superior judge will approve your uniform or tell you why the uniform does not meet the rulebook requirements. A team who requests a uniform check and is not atthe Entrance to the Suite Level at 10:30 waives its’ right to a uniform check.

13.Sound test your performance CD during marking at the scheduled time.

  1. Remember the entrance and exit policy.
  2. All team members must clear the Arena prior to the gates being open. Team members are not allowed to save seats!
