The Royal Naval Reserve 150th Anniversary Dinner

To celebrate the remarkable achievements of the Royal Naval Reserve since 1859, a dinner will be held in the wardroom at HMS President. The guest of honour will be Mr Michael Grey, former Editor of Lloyd’s List. Other guests will be Honorary Commodore The Lord Sterling of Plaistow Kt GCVO CBE, Mr Jan Kopernicki, Vice President Shipping Shell UK and other distinguished guests. The evening will begin with a sparkling wine reception and Sunset Ceremony followed by dinner comprising:
Baked darns of salmon
served on a bed of crispy vegetables with a grain mustard dressing
Roast sirloin of beef with crushed peppercorn crust
served with a cream of peppercorn sauce, seasonal potatoes & vegetables
Individual Dutch apple crumble
served with a vanilla sauce
Coffee & mints
Dinner will be accompanied by fine red and white wines and followed by port. Dress for the evening will be No.2Bs Mess Undress or Black Tie with neck decorations and miniatures. The cost of the dinner, including a donation in aid of the Mission to Seafarers, will be £65 per person attending.
