ONLY CONSULATE GENERALS ARE AUTHORIZED

TO MAKE DECISIONS REGARDING VISAS.

It is YOUR responsibility to submit to this Consulate General the required documents for the type of visa you are applying for, therefore do not interpret or replace or omit any of the required documents.

If the visa application is considered to be incomplete, it will be immediately returned to you.

If you live in Southern California , Arizona, New Mexico or Nevada, and you are not able to submit your visa request inperson to this Consulate General, you must do the following:

1)Obtain the list of visa requirements from this Consulate General by mail, by fax or at our website

2)Contact one of the following offices to have ONLY your signature authenticated on the correctVisa Application Form. You are to indicate the place of signature, the date of signature and the signature in two places on the application form.

There are two application forms for the two types of visas: Schengen Visa (short term) and National Visa (long term).

First time Schengen Visa applicants must appear in person. Schengen Visa applicants that are exempt from appearing in person are those that, as of May 15, 2014, have been correctly fingerprinted by this Consulate General. The data is recorded in the VIS database for a maximum of 5 (five) years. Children under the age of 12 are also exempt from this requirement.

National Visa applicants are not required to be fingerprinted.
