Responsibilities:

As Construction Supervision Consultant I was responsible for bringing the Quality of project from foundation stage to final implementation stagemonitoring and ensuring that the development is done as per the Technical Specification without violating the standards. Coordinating and SupervisingContractors, Staffs under me and making the process clear that I get the report of daily activity of each staff by end of day using cost evaluation techniques and calculations and ensuring that the project cost is kept the minimum without losing quality and efficiency by using various Mix Design Procedures.

Assisting the Material Engineer in all matters concerning Materials Quality Control such as:

  • Approval of Quarries and Borrow Areas by periodic Sampling and Testing as well as visual assessment of the Highway Construction Materials to be used in the Project.
  • Approval of Natural, Processed, Manufactured and Designed Highway Construction Materials to be used.
  • Recording the Current Approvals of all Borrow Areas, Quarries, Materials and Mix designs for all BOQ items and reporting the same in the Monthly Quality Control Reports.
  • Sampling of the Highway Materials such as Embankment earth fill, Subgrade Soil, GSB material, WMM material, Cement, Aggregates (Coarse and Fine), Concrete Admixtures, Bitumen, Bitumen Emulsion, Structural and Reinforcement Steel and Water.
  • Testing the Highway Construction Materials at the Field Laboratory which includes general, routine acceptance and Quality Control Tests.
  • Designing the Mix for the PQC, Structural Concrete, GSB, WMM, BM, DBM and BC.
  • Verifying, in liasoning with the Field Engineers, that the deteriorated materials cannot be incorporated in the permanent works.
