Newsletter for January 2017
Happy New Year and welcome to the January newsletter, if you have access to the internet you might like to have a look at our website at www.sssg.co.uk which is updated monthly and has some photos of past events, as well as links to other stroke related websites for information and advice.
In December we had a great turnout for our special Christmas night out at the Shetland Hotel. We all enjoyed the lovely meal and good company. The new Stroke Support Group booklet arrived in time from the printers so everyone was able to get a copy, if you haven’t had a copy yet please let us know and we can post one out to you. Many thanks to everyone who contributed their experiences for the booklet, and to Joy for pulling it all together. Copies of the Stroke booklet will be available on Thursday for anyone who missed out at Christmas.
Next Event
January 19th – 7pm at Quoys we will be having a change of plan, so our Shetland Night with the Island Trails group will now be in March, due to a family bereavement. Instead we are having a showing of the highly acclaimed Havra DVD with words by Christine De Luca and music by Pauline Wiseman, followed by tea/coffee, homebakes and chat. Some of you will remember Christine and Pauline gave us a taster session of the Havra project last year.
