Revision Description / Provide additional information for an ESI ID to include Station ID, Power Region, Premise Type, status (active/de-energized/inactive) for an ESI ID.
In addition, advise if there is a pending Move In/Move Out for the ESI ID.
Reason for Revision / Currently there is no direct way for Competitive Retailers to know exactly what Congestion Zone a customer resides in even if they know the ESI ID number. This revision will allow Competitive Retailers to view the Station ID for the ESI ID. Each Station ID is mapped to an ERCOT Congestion Management Zone.
In addition, knowing the TDSP may not indicate in which Power Region the service address is located. Power Region is needed to advise the CR where the load for the ESI ID must be scheduled.
ERCOT ESI ID status and effective date (active/de-energized/inactive) assists Market Participants to verify status of an ESI ID without expending ERCOT resources.
The “pending Move In/Move Out” assists CRs to proactively determine whether the submission of a Move In/ Move Out request will be rejected by ERCOT and therefore allows the CR to advise the end customer that their request might not be able to be fulfilled due to a pending Move In/Move Out from another CR.
Premise type assists a CR in knowing whether or not a waiver of the recision period can be made (for an ESI ID whose Premise Type = Large Non Residential).

15.2 Database Queries

Competitive Retailers (CRs) and Aggregators may obtain information from ERCOT to determine or to verify the ESI ID for a SDP using the Service Address. CRs or Aggregators may also obtain information from ERCOT to determine or to verify the Service Address for a SDP using the ESI ID. This look-up function will return Service Address; meter read code, ESI ID, and TDSP, Power Region, Station ID, Premise Type, metered/unmetered flag, Current Status (active/de-energized/inactive) with effective date, and if applicable a Move In/Move Out pending flag with associated date. This lookup function is available through the MIS.

CRs or Aggregators can also obtain information regarding the ESI IDs in a downloadable file. This file will contain the above listed information. This is intended to facilitate CRs or Aggregators incorporating the information into their database systems.
