DETROIT DIESEL ENGINE SOW
OVERHAUL of 32 NEOPLAN DUAL MODE ARTICULATED BUSES

The existing Detroit Diesel Series 60 diesel engine shall be removed and overhauled by an authorized Detroit Diesel remanufacturer.
· Engines will receive complete (Step 3) overhaul.
· Rebuilt engine must be built to Detroit Diesel current blueprint specifications and include any Detroit Diesel critical design improvements.
· All parts used to remanufacture the engine shall be either new or reliabilt® Detroit Diesel Genuine parts. However, the parts listed on the below “Minimum Replacement List” shall be new.
· The engine parts shall be manufactured in an ISO 9002 certified facility.
· The remanufacturing facility must have constant auditing processing in place, as well as communication and engineering support between the remanufacturing center and Detroit Diesel
· Engine shall be dynamometer tested to validate performance upon completion of overhaul. A copy of the engine overhaul documentation, including the dynamometer test results shall be provided to Maine Military Authority.
· OEM engine component parts that have been modified or misapplied, (according to the OEM engine supplier’s original design and intention), shall not be allowed or accepted.
· Any items not included under the Step 3 overhaul or defined in this scope of work will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
WARRANTY:
· The contractor shall provide a minimum of 1-year parts and labor warranty on all parts listed on the Minimum Replacement List as well as any other parts replaced during the specified overhaul.
· Engines that qualify for the Step 3 warranty will receive the full 2-year warranty on all parts and labor. An appropriate credit will be received for any engine that does not qualify for the Step 3 warranty (due to the 10-year time restriction).
· Contractor shall provide in writing a copy of the warranty details for their product. Contractor will need to be able to supply warranty support by a Factory Authorized Dealer in the Boston, MA area.
FREIGHT:
All items shipped from the Contractor’s location to Maine Military Authority shall be shipped FOB destination.
ADDITIONAL ITEMS:
· Four (4) sets of Detroit Diesel “DDDL” diagnostic software (including any required licenses).
· Four (4) sets of all required Detroit Diesel test/interface equipment
