$11,000 Spring Cleanup Blackjack Tournament

Tournament will be conducted on March 28, 2015

This tournament will consist of 5 qualifying rounds to be played on March 28, 2015 @ 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, & 3pm. Each qualifying round will consist of a maximum of 4 tables with 6 players at each table. The top two chip winners from each table and eight wild card drawing qualifiers will advance to the quarter-final round which will be played at 4:00pm and 5:00pm. Each quarter-final round will consist of a maximum of 4 tables with 6 players each. The chip leader from each table in the quarter-final round and four wild card drawing winnerswill advance to the semifinal round. The semifinal round will be played at 6:00pm and will consist of 2 tables with 6 players each. The top three chip leaders from each table will advance to the Final Table. The Final Table will be played at 7:00pm with 1 table and 6 players.

Registration will begin on March 28th @ 9am

The Buy-In for this tournament will be $100.00 and can be paid for in cash or gaming chips. If a player does not advance in a qualifier round, they may than do an additional re-buyinto this tournament for $50.00. $10 from each initial buy-in and $5 from each re-buy will be allocated towards dealer tips.

BConnected Club Members can earn 1 free entry by having a $250 ADT (based on 3 or more trips) from March 1 - 27, 2015, by being an assigned player to a Casino Host, winning a Free entry by placing first place in the weekly Thursday Blackjack tournaments in March, or by being drawn on Friday, March 27, 2015 from tickets earned during the weekly Thursday Blackjack tournaments (see “Spring Cleanup First Chance drawing” below). All free entries must register by 10am on March 28, 2015.All entries accepted after 10am are not guaranteed and will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Free entries are non-transferable.

This tournament will be conducted in the pit 2 area of the casino.

Player positionswill be random with each registered player drawing a table seat card. Table seat cards may not be traded with another player.

Additional seats into Semi-Final Round 1 and Semi-Final Round 2will be awarded through the Spring Cleanup Second Chance drawing. Please see rules for additional details.

The prize pool is guaranteed to be $11,000 with a 100% pay back. All cash entries will be placed into the prize pool and that total amount will be deducted from the amount that the casino must contribute to guarantee the prize pool at $11,000. Any cash collected greater than $11,000 will be added to the 1st Place winner’s total.

Tournament Rules – By Participating in this tournament, players agree to these rules.

  1. Players must be seated while playing and may not have anything on the table including beverages. The use of any tobacco products is prohibited at the tournament tables.
  2. Player position will be conducted through a random draw of a table seat card. Table seat cards may not be traded or given to another player.
  3. Each session will consist of twenty one (21) hands.
  4. Each player will receive $1,000 in tournament chips at the beginning of each round of play. If a player loses all their chips they will be eliminated from that round of play and may not re-buy into that same session.
  5. Tournament chips may not be removed from the table, concealed or barber polled. Chips must be separated and stacked in each color / denomination.
  6. Tournament chips may not be shared or given to any other player.
  7. Players must wager a minimum of $25 up to a maximum of $500 on each hand dealt. If the player’s remaining chips fall below the table minimum, all of the player’s remaining chips must be bet on the next hand. The order of dealing will always be the same even if a player is eliminated from the tournament.
  8. Once a bet is placed, it cannot be removed or changed.
  9. Diamond Jo Casino standard rules of Blackjack will apply.
  10. All blackjacks dealt during the tournament will be paid 2 to 1 odds.
  11. The dealing sequence will begin by placing the puck at the gaming position number seven, located immediately to the right of the dealer and the dealing will begin at first base and will continue by moving the puck sequentially from gaming position number seven to gaming position number one (left to right), and will continue to move one player position throughout the round of play. Betting will follow this same sequence.
  12. If the dealing sequence is dealt out of position, the floor person will be called and the hand backed up to the spots as if the dealing sequence had been correctly dealt. The cards will not be backed up for any other reason.
  13. Any decision on how to bet, or how to play, must be solely that of the player. No communication, verbal or visual will be permitted between spectators or players. The Dealer may advise the player of his or her options but will not make any recommendations.
  14. Players are expected to make decisions about their wagers and hand decisions in a reasonable amount of time. At the floor persons discretion “Time” may be called on a player which will force a player to make their decision in the amount of time of thirty (30) seconds. If the decision is not made after the minute time has been called, then the players hand will stand and no cards will be drawn. If the decision was not made on a wager amount, the player will be forced to wager a table minimum bet of $25.00.
  15. During each round of play, any ties will be broken by dealing additional hands until one player has more chips than the other player. Note: Each hand must be completed before the chips are counted and a winner is declared.
  16. There will be twenty-one (21) white chips placed atop each table to keep track of the number of hands dealt. After each hand is completed, one of the chips will be removed from the table and placed in the bank tray.
  17. Each player’s chips will be counted and announced after the 20thhand has been played.
  18. At the conclusion of each session or round consisting of 21 hands, the dealer will count the players’ chips. The floor person will verify the count with each player.
  19. If a player leaves their assigned table during the course of play, they will have voluntarily withdrawn from the tournament. At the conclusion of a round the players must wait until the Supervisor has confirmed their chip count with them before leaving the table.
  20. Gratuities may be paid to the dealers in the form of gaming chips and cash only. Tournament chips may not be used for gratuity purposes. Gratuities may only be paid at the end of a session or at the conclusion of the tournament.
  21. If a player is found to be in violation of any rules it is the Tournament Director’s decision to either disqualify a player or issue one warning before disqualifying a player from the tournament. Violation of tournament rules may eliminate a player from future participation.
  22. Winners are responsible for any applicable local, state and/or federal taxes.
  23. Chips accumulated during the tournament will be used for tournament scoring only and will not be paid in cash.
  24. All final table participants must giveaccess to his/her photograph and/or name to be used for publicity or promotional purposes without compensation.
  25. Diamond Jo Casino reserves the right to modify or cancel this gambling game at any time with the approval of IRGC.
  26. Diamond Jo Casino may disqualify any person for any prize based upon fraud, dishonesty or violation of tournament rules and reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent of the law.
