Redwood Valley Outdoor Education Project (RVOEP)

Featuring award-winning nature films on a big screen; this series celebrates the beauty, complexity, and diversity of the natural world. Filmed by some of the top wildlife photographers and producers in the world, the stunning footage in these movies will lift your spirits and fill you with wonder.

This wildlife film festival is a fund-raiser for the Redwood Valley Outdoor Education Project (RVOEP). It will run for five Friday evenings this winter at the Civic Center in Ukiah. Film dates are February 19 and March 4, 11, 18 and 25.

Since 1998 RVOEP has enabled over 2,000 school children a year to study ecological concepts on a 45-acre parcel bordering the Russian River. This unique woodland, owned and operated by the Ukiah Unified School District, includes a variety of native habitats. Students are educated about rivers and fish, soil and micro-organisms, forests, wildlife, and the interrelationships that create health ecosystems
