(7) WHY IS THIS CHANGE NEEDED? (Legislation, usability, additional functionality, other?) Additional functionality.
(9) WHAT NEW FUNCTIONALITY OR CHANGE TO EXISTING FUNCTIONALITY IS BEING REQUESTED? Add report(s) that would assist with the reconciliation of MNGEO provided map areas to Beacon Parcel Map areas including PILT, Pipeline, Electric Transmission, and Railroad Corridors.
(10) WHAT IS THE DESIRED RESULT OF THIS CHANGE? A report would be generated showing how state reported map areas compare to locally maintained map areas. This will assist with identifying differences that can be correctly managed.
(11) WHAT PART OF SOFTWARE WILL BE CHANGED? (Be specific and list all screens, reports and/or functions, including the number of the report, form, screen, etc.) A new report will be generated.
(12) WILL THIS CHANGE REQUIRE NEW USER DOCUMENTATION? Yes.
(13) WHAT IS YOUR SUGGESTED SOLUTION? (Be specific. If new edits are requested, identify the specific fields and the edits. If a change is being requested to a report or screen, attach an existing copy and identify the desired changes. If a new report or screen is requested, provide a layout. Also specify any sort sequences or selection options desired.) A new report will be generated comparing the two differently managed areas and identifying differences. For instance, MNGEO PILT map may show a DNR Wildlife Management Area that spans multiple parcels or parts of parcels; the new report would show the overlapping areas visually and show the affected acres.
(14) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: (What are the benefits of this change? Who benefits from the change? Any other information that will be helpful to the committee in reviewing this request?) Benefits: efficiency and accuracy in working with State and Utility entities in correcting errors that affect value and tax.
