Dear Parents

Please find below somefinal information for our Young Voices trip to the O2 Arena, London on Monday 6th February 2017.

Timings

10.30Board coach ready to leave no later than 10.45am.

12.00Arrive at O2 (determine coach drivers parking number and inform parents by text as this will be the meeting pointto collect children travelling home with parents). Children will eatlunch on arrival at the arena.

13.30Children assemble in allocated seats.

14.15Rehearsal commences (children will not be allowed to use word

sheets).

17:00Rehearsal ends – children take 1 hour tea break.

18.00Arena opens for parents. Children reassemble in seats for warm up.

19.00Concert starts!

21.15Concert ends. All children remain in seats until audience is dispersed. Children are then dispersed by section.

21.30Parents taking children home should ideally have pre-notified the teacher. Parents should meet at the coach collection point (earlier texted to parents) Please check off your child with a teacher before your taking child.

Children travelling back on coach to remain with the teachers on coach.

23.30Anticipated time of arrival back at school 11.00pm (we aim to text any parents collecting from school if this time is different).

Food and Drink

Children should bring a packed lunch and a packed tea, snack, and plenty of water. Please pack food in disposable containers where possible. A back pack for food and drink can be stored beneath your child’s seat for the day. Please do not put anything valuable in your child’s bag. Please do not provide your child with money for food/snacks.

What to wear

Children should wear school uniform as normal on the day, including a warm coat. Concert t-shirts will be given out to children on the day. We will also be providing the children with a white cap, to make them easily identifiable to us and to you when they are performing in the arena. The children will also be wearing a wrist band with school contact information.

It would be good if your child could pack a non-electronic activity or game, such as a book or puzzle as there will be several waiting periods.

Tickets

Tickets are being distributed by MrsHensey. If you require tickets for the event, you can get them directly from the Arena box office on 08448560202

And Finally…

A huge ‘thank you’ to MrsHensey who co-ordinated all of the ticket and t-shirt ordering. This was not a simple process and experiences like this could not happen without such support.
