Academic Expectations:
Supplies: Students are expected to provide their own pencil and schoolwide binder.
Grades: All assignments are kept in your interactive notebook (spiral).
Students are expected to do their best when completing work.
All students are expected to self-advocate and ask for help.
Ms. Bauers is available after school for students to ask for help or to make up work.
Schoolwide Binder:
I am providing students will one spiral notebook per quarter for their classwork/homework for each of my classes.
If students misplace their spiral for the quarter they are responsible to replace and make up all work that was in it.
Students are responsible to copy the assignments tracker and fill in appropriate information for a full grade.
15% of the quarter grade is based on the student binder (interactive notebook).
Binders will be graded weekly.
Late work: There is no reason for students to turn in late work if the students are in class.
Attendance Expectations:
Absences:
Work from an excused absence, ISS and ABS receive full credit.
Work from an unexcused absences or OSS must be dropped a full letter grade.
Make up work:
Absent students must pick up work from the labeled drawer when you return to class.
The number of days students have to make up work equals the number of days the student is absent.
Work not turned in can be reviewed, but must be given a grade of zero.
Tardy:
Tardy passes are handed out in building 04-126.
Students receive an automatic one hour detention for all tardies period 3-8.
Classroom procedures:
Students are expected to be in their seats, with proper material (book, folder, etc.) and beginning bell work when the tardy bell rings. Students will have 5 minute to complete their bell work.
Leaving the class:
Students are expected to clean their area at the end of the each class period.
Sleeping in class:
You will receive a grade of a zero for the assignments and not be allowed to make it up.
Your parents will be called.
Restroom Passes:
Ms. Charles will give out and document the restroom passes.
Students will be given 5 minutes to use the restroom. Students may not be able to use a restroom pass to go to the vending machine or out of area.
