7) Cura Kilkenny: Information Session for Volunteer Counsellors

Cura Kilkenny will launch a recruitment drive with an information session for prospective volunteer counsellors on Wednesday the 3rd of September at Cura's Kilkenny centre on Dean Street, at 10am. At this meeting, anyone interested in volunteering with Cura will get a chance to learn about the organisation, what is involved in volunteering as a counsellor, the training process, and the commitment required.

13) TM Cycle for Pieta House

This year the TM cycle turns 7 and we'll be cycling from Dublin to Mullingar on the 9th August and back to Dublin on the 10th covering a total distance of 240km. There will be three different groups travelling at speeds dictated by the ability of the cyclists. Cyclists safety is paramount to us and it is most definitely a tour and not a race. The focus is on enjoying the two days and participaing in an event thats raising awareness of Pieta House as well as much needed funds.

14) Immigrants Council of Ireland: 6th Annual Mothers and Daughters' Lunch

The Immigrants Council of Ireland is holding its 6th annual Mothers and Daughters' Lunch on Friday 26th September 2014. The Lunch will be held at Fire restaurant and will kick off at 12:30pm. There will be a keynote address, spot prizes, a raffle and an auction! You are welcome to then join us at 37 Dawson Street after the event.

16) Friends of Londiani Mountain Challenge

FOL invites you to join them in climbing the highest mountains in each of the 4 Provinces – Carrauntoohil, Co. Kerry, Mweelrea Mountain, Co. Mayo, Slieve Donard, Co.Down, and Lugnaquilla, Co. Wicklow. Four different teams will each climb each one of the mountains at the same time. Each team will be supported by experienced guides. Even if you've never climbed a mountain before there will be a walk for you!!

21) Gospel Choir Robes Wanted for Community Organisation

Longford Voices United are a Community Gospel Choir who are now in place nearly a year. They meet weekly and try engage with people who are living in isolation, have difficulties such as mental health issues or anybody who needs to get out of the house for a while for any reason. We are looking for any group who may have old Gospel Choir Robes that are not being used anymore and may be looking for a new home.

22) UCD School of Social Justice Conference: Call for Abstracts

32) St. Stephen's Green Trust: Small Grants Programme - Direct Provision Centres

The SSGT Small Grants Progamme - Direct Provision Centres (SGP-DPC) aims to give an opportunity to parents/carers of children in accommodation centres to decide what activities will benefit their children and to apply for funding for them. It is envisaged these activities will avail of sporting, community and arts facilities in the areas in which they live.

33) St. Stephen's Green Trust: General Grants Scheme

Following a review in March 2014, the Trustees will focus on specific issues of social injustice in critical aspects of a number of key areas over the next 3 to 5 years.
