I. THE WITNESS 22:17
The Last Welcome
“COME”
“Come” is the grandest word of the Gospel.
A. Who Invites 17a
(John 16:7-11)
*The Holy Spirit says, Come.
*Without the work of the Holy Spirit no one would ever
come.
*These believers in whom the Holy Spirit dwells, invites
men and women to come.
*It is primarily through you and me that people are drawn.
*Bride…not professionals, but all who know Jesus Christ.
*Without a burden for the lost an individual or church
will dry up.
*Friends…Relatives…Associates…Neighbors…"Come"
B. Who Is Invited 17b
1. Let him who is thirsty…come
2. Whosoever will…come
*If any person has any desire to taste of the water of life,
he can come.
*This water of life is without cost…it is a free gift.
*It cannot be earned. It must be received…It Must Be
Presented!
What’s important to God? It should be important to us.
II. THE WORD 22:18,19
The Last Warning
There are many implications about the book of Revelation, but also the
Bible.
A. Inspiration Is Implied
Inspiration is ‘God breathed’
*“I” (Jesus) testify…v. 16
*God stands behind these words. v. 19
* Rev. 22:6
B. Inerrancy Is Implied
*God cannot lie.
*In their original language what was written is without error.
C. Indispensability Is Implied
*Adding to or taking from was a trick of Satan in the Garden.
Genesis 3:3-6
*It is a crime that is deadly serious to add to the words of
Scripture.
*It is even more dangerous and wicked to take away from God’s
Word.
*One receives the plagues and the other has no part in the tree of
life and are excluded from the Holy City. These read and
rejected the book. They are lost!
*God has given us all we need to know right here…ouija boards,
tarot cards, tea leaves, horoscopes, the Book of Mormons, etc.
are not of God!
What’s important to God? It should be important to us.
III. THE WELCOME 22:20-21
The Last Word
A. Glory 20
He who testifies…v. 16
*Jesus says, Surely I come suddenly…quickly.
*Amen…so be it…Even so come, Lord Jesus.
(I John 2:28) Is our response like that of John?
Are we ready?
B. Grace 21
*It is all grace from beginning to end.
*God does it!
*I am the vine, you are the branches…
*The Christian life begins by grace…it is sustained by grace…
*If anything is ever accomplished, then God must receive the
glory.
Amen!
