BOARD NOTES
The Green Local Board of Education met on Monday, September 17, 2012inthe Greene Middle School
at 7:30 p.m.
The following business took place:
- Adopted agenda
2. Approved financial items including donations, bank reconciliation, OSFC/Building budget, financial summary, investment report, SM-2, and check register.
3. Kirk George from Hammond Construction gave an update on the construction project.
4. PERSONNEL, ADMINSTRATIVE AND INSTRUCTIONAL CONSENT AGENDA
A. Certified and Administrative Employment and Changes for the 2012-2013 School Year:
1. Certified Changes in Employment:
a. Lauren Colapietro – Home Tutor
b. Sara Farver – Substitute teacher per substitute salary schedule and hours, effective August 22, 2012.
2. Certified Changes in Employment:
a. Scott Meech – Change from MA to MA+15
B. Classified Employment and Changes for the 2012-2013 School Year:
1. Classified Employment:
a. Joseph Day – Game Event Coverage (for Athletic Director)

E. Approve the following resolution for transportation for pupils attending private schools:
WHEREAS, the Green Local Board of Education has determined that students attending private schools chartered by the State Department of Education are legally entitled to transportation according to R.C. 33270.01, and
WHEREAS, the Green Local Board of Education has determined that such transportation is impractical because:
1. The cost of providing such transportation in terms of equipment, maintenance, and personnel is exorbitant.
2. The number of students involved makes such transportation unfeasible.
3. Such transportation would disrupt transportation schedules requiring the addition of a bus or the changing of the school day or both.
4. There are no State Board of Education approved alternatives available
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Green Local Board of Education will compensate the parents of students attending private schools chartered by the State Department of Education an amount which shall be equal to the average cost of transportation per pupil during the immediate preceding year as computed by the State Department of Education; and
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that this payment shall be computed on a daily rate and paid to the parents only after said parent has submitted to the Board Office a note or letter verifying the number of days they actually transported their child during the school year at the completion of the 2012-2013 school year.

9. Approved the Choir/Band overnight trip to Orlando, Florida April 1 – 6, 2013.
