This document is required. It contains general information needed for a proper introduction to the PAN Parks Foundation's verification process for Principle 5. Please complete this form electronically and submit it together with the other application documents to either the coordinator of the local PANPark group in the case of a local PAN Parks partner or the PAN Parks Foundation conservation manager in the case of a national and/ or international PAN Parks partner.

Prior to submitting your application, please ensure that all questions are answered and all information is in English. After receiving the documents, they will be reviewed and if approved you will receive a verification proposal. These application documents for PAN Parks verification are based on the January 2006 version of PAN Parks Principle 4-5.

All information and data collected during the verification process are considered confidential. Under no circumstance will information or data be distributed to any external source without the prior permission of the applicant. If the PAN Parks Foundation wishes to use any information or data collected for the purposes of PAN Parks communication or promotion, consent of applicant must be confirmed prior to use.

1. Declaration of Compliance with National and Regional Laws

As part of the application process, a business partner must declare that it complies with all relevant National and Regional Laws (Indicator 5.1.4. in PAN Parks Principles and Criteria, January 2006). This is necessary to help PAN Parks’ verifiers focus specifically on the assessment of the protected area's performance under the principles and criteria.

-to accept conditions for PAN Parks business partners, by which applicant's name/name of business agrees not to undertake any action which could negatively affect the PAN Parks project or which is not in compliance with the PAN Parks Principles & Criterion

4. Action Plan

It describes the link, commitment, and contribution of PAN Parks business partner to the implementation of the Sustainable Tourism Development Strategy and conservation goals of the certified PANPark.

PAN Parks Business Partner Action Plan
Split your action points into the following groups. Action Plan includes commitment/support to 1) local PAN Parks group, 2) certified PANPark. Action points from this action plan will be written into the PAN Parks Foundation/Business Partner Contract. Please be aware that the subject of the verification will be partners’ performance following these commitments.

[3] Agreement on the topic of support is to be reached between and is the full responsibility of the business partner and representative of the certified PANPark. However the contribution should be clear, and concrete to the greatest extent possible, measurable, and have clear deadlines. Contributions can include support for concrete resource management, visitor management, or research projects. Support can be in a form of in-kind, funding, human resources, equipment, etc.
