Digital RE-CIRCULATING VALVE

1.0  DIGITAL RE-CIRCULATING VALVE (DRV)

A.  Re-Circulating Valve shall be digital of lead free stainless steel/polymer construction.

B.  DRV shall have 3 inlet/outlet connections, deliver a mixed water flow of 165GPM @ 7.5ft/sec and shall have no minimum system draw off requirement.

C.  DRV shall be supplied pre-piped and pressure tested with a lead free re-circulation return manifold with check valves.

D.  DRV shall have all of the following operational capabilities:

1.  +/- 2F water temperature control

2.  2F minimum inlet to outlet water temperature differential

3.  Automatic shutoff of hot water flow upon cold water inlet supply failure.

4.  Automatic shutoff of hot water flow in the event of a power failure

5.  Programmable set point range of 81-158°F (27-70°C)

6.  Programmable thermal disinfection mode

7.  Programmable 1st level hi/lo temp alarm display

8.  Programmable temperature error level for safety shutdown

E.  DRV shall have all of the following connectivity capabilities:

1.  SPCO relay outputs which are energized during operation.

2.  LCD display which indicates: set point, delivered temperature, error codes and alarm conditions.

3.  MODBUS 485 port for remote set point adjustment and remote operating temperature visibility.

4.  RS485 Serial Port for connection to a performance matched hot water monitoring system.

F.  DRV shall be compliant with ASSE Standard 1017 and CSA B125 and so certified and identified.

G.  DRV shall be UL listed and identified.

1.01 BUILDING AUTOMATION SYSTEM/WEB INTERFACE

A.  Digital Re-Circulating Valve shall be supplied with an integral Hot Water Management System Console.

B.  Hot Water Management System Console shall enable direct onward connection to Building Automation Systems via either ModBus, Bacnet™ and LonWorks™ protocols* with an Ethernet port for access via a web browser.

C.  Hot Water Management System Console shall receive and communicate the following inputs.

a.  Set Point

b.  Inlet/Outlet Temperature

c.  Over Temperature Alert

D.  Hot Water Management System Console shall receive and communicate the following self-diagnostic error messages.

a.  Over Temperature Error

b.  PCB Error

c.  Thermistor Error

d.  Motor Error/Emergency Mode

e.  Battery Error
