Entrepreneur Project

This project requires you to create a unique product that you feel the public would want to buy. You are asked to create a power point presentation on your product and display a working sample (prototype) of your project that you will present in class. Your product must be realistic. You may have one or two partner(s) to help you with the product and presentation. For this project, you may select your own partner(s). This project is worth 50 points.

POWER POINT PRESENTATION (30 points)

Your presentation must have at least four slides.

1.  Title Slide - What is the name of your product and who is in your group?

2.  What to produce? - Briefly describe your product. You must explain the reason(s) for its marketability. You must also mention two stores that you visited in order to see if the product is truly unique.

3.  How to produce? – Describe the resources that you needed in order to make the product and the resources that you would need in order to sell your product. Describe the process that you went through in creating the product. Also explain the price that you would charge and the reasoning behind it.

4.  For whom to produce? – Explain the process of marketing and distributing the product. Who would buy your product and how will you get them to buy it?

Each slide should have a minimum font size of 32, and you should not have more than 25 words on each slide. Also, you are required to have at least one picture or clip art in your presentation. Remember, these are the minimum requirements for your presentation. Save your presentation on a USB memory stick, and you will play it during your presentation. You must also email the file ( w/ the Period, Last Name(s), First Name(s), Assignment Title in the subject line) before the beginning of class on the due date.

PRODUCT (20 points)

Your product will be graded on the following criteria:

1.  Effort – Does it appear that it took a lot of time and effort to put together considering the number of group members?

2.  Realism – Does it appear usable in the real work?

Please do not spend a lot of money buying the resources to make your product. Try to use household items. It only has to be a working model. If you having trouble making a model, visit stores like Michael’s and Joanne’s Fabrics for ideas and materials.

The product is due at the beginning of the period on Friday, June 19, 2015.

There will be no extensions. You will be penalized 11 points if it is late
