CONVERSATIONS
Issue 3: Monday April 17, 2017
Some coaching tips taken from Chelsea FC Development Center Start and end the practice with fun
Simple organization and layout of the session; simple communication/ rules of the practice
No “bus queue” of players waiting to play/ shoot
Lots of 1v1 practices with experiences of playing different types of player
Don’t over coach; give the players “free” playing time in the session
Give the players questions to ask and choices/ decisions to make: involve them in this process
Encourage players to work hard; encourage attacking soccer
Inspire players with your personality, energy and enthusiasm
Get to know your WYSA coaches
Each week we will try to get to know more about our coaches by reading their responses to the questions below. I will kick off the season but don’t worry everyone will have their chance.

Schedules and Tournaments
Game rescheduling ended on April 14 and the schedules have been set. I know that this was problematic for some of you but hopefully you have the game dates you wanted. Now is the time to engage your Team Manager or Parent Rep to get the game dates communicated and the driving schedules established.
Don’t forget that WYSA will pay $500 toward a Tournament – check out ‘Find a Tournament’ at The Tournament Center for options and get your team registered.
